Beginning March 1, 2009 Granger Container Services, Inc. took over residential trash pick-up for the Village. Tuesday will continue to be pick-up day. Refuse should be at the curb by 8:00 a.m. If you choose to use an alternative trash pick-up service, you will still need to opt-out or you will continue to be billed by the Village. To opt-out, you must contact Village Hall at 625-4170.

Your next Village utility bill will reflect the new rates. Regular Rate is $8.50 monthly ($25.50 per Quarter) with an 8 bag limit. The Senior Rate, for those who have achieved the age of 60 years or older, is $6.50 monthly ($19.50 per Quarter) with a 6 bag limit.

Granger has 90 gallon curb carts available for a one-time purchase price of $15.00. Once purchased the cart belongs to and is the responsibility of the purchaser. Carts may be purchased at Village Hall and then picked up at the DPW building.

Village of Morrice would like to remind residential trash customers that there is a limit on the number of bags that will be picked up each week. Customers on the standard rate have a limit of 8 bags per week; those on the Senior rate have a limit of 6 bags per week. Extra bags can be picked up if prior arrangements are made with Granger – an extra charge will apply.

Granger will pick up larger items, such as appliances, furniture, carpet and padding, and mattress and springs. Please call Granger at (517) 372-2800 or 1-888-9GRANGER to make collection arrangements. Prices are based on types of item(s) and quantity.
